Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance is a process utilized by companies to direct and manage their business. Good corporate governance is a sign for the economic health of the business and a key to improving corporate accountability and enhancing corporate performance.
Why adopt corporate governance structure?
The major point to be stressed about corporate governance is that directors of a company monitor the business affairs on behalf of shareholders and other stakeholders, hence their accountability before them.

It is also noteworthy that the decline of a company’s performance is often blamed on weak corporate governance practices.

So there are good reasons why companies are encouraged to adopt good corporate governance structure.
Corporate governance is one of the decision criteria by which portfolio managers invest in listed companies
Companies operating within the established guidelines of good corporate governance will be motivated to publicize their record in order to build shareholder confidence, boost stock price and maintain and attract new investors.
